Hi, I’m Jess, owner and pet care provider behind Love Luna Pet Care LLC!
I feel incredibly fortunate to turn my love of animals into meaningful work. I’ve always been drawn to their genuine nature, unique spirit, and have never outgrown the excitement of meeting a new dog or the quiet satisfaction of earning a discerning cat’s trust. Being around animals is where I feel happiest, and caring for them is something I approach with compassion and deep respect.
I believe great pet care starts with getting to know each pet as an individual. Every pet has their own personality, routines, preferences, body language, and comfort level. Understanding these unique qualities allows me to provide care that feels familiar and tailored to each pet. Whether they are full of energy, a little more reserved, entering their golden years, or require extra support, my goal is to help them feel safe and comfortable while in my care.
My Approach
Care for Pets With Individual Needs
Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to care for dogs and cats with a wide range of personalities, ages, and individual needs, including pets with disabilities, sensory impairments, and ongoing or complex health conditions. I’m attentive to established routines, comfortable administering basic medications, and observant of changes in behavior, energy, mobility, and overall well-being.
I also bring a background in social work, where I developed a strong foundation in relationship-building, thoughtful decision-making, and staying calm in challenging situations. Those skills naturally carry into my approach to pet care, helping me recognize subtle cues, respond appropriately to unique circumstances, and adapt to what each pet needs in the moment.
Pet First Aid & Preparedness
I believe in continuing to learn so I can provide thoughtful, informed care. I completed Pro Pet Hero’s online Cat & Dog First Aid and CPR course to build my knowledge of pet safety and how to respond in an emergency.
My goal is simple: to provide thoughtful, individualized care while giving you peace of mind that your pet is in good hands.
Love Luna is named after Luna, my childhood dog, who holds a very special place in my heart.

A FAMILIAR FACE:
As a solo pet care provider, I offer consistent care from someone your pet can get to know and feel comfortable with!
DOING THINGS AT THEIR PACE:
If your senior dog wants to spend their 30-minute walk sniffing one single tree, that is exactly what we will do! A slower pace lets them stay active without overdoing it, while still providing plenty of mental stimulation and enrichment. If your pet requires a patient person who won’t rush them, I’m here to help!
BRISK OUTLETS FOR HIGH-ENERGY PETS:
On the flip side, if your high-energy dog needs to stretch their legs and burn off some energy, I’m happy to pick up the pace with plenty of opportunities to move and explore so they come home ready to relax.
BASIC MEDICATION SUPPORT:
I can help with routine pills, liquids, and topical medications during drop-in visits, following your instructions and your veterinarian’s guidance.
PET FIRST AID & INSURANCE:
I’ve completed Pro Pet Hero’s online Cat & Dog First Aid and CPR course to help me recognize potential emergencies and respond appropriately. I also carry pet care insurance and a pet first aid kit for added protection.

Dog Walking
Every walk is personalized to your dog’s individual needs, age, energy level, and fitness level. Walks include a safety check before departure, exercise at your dog’s pace and comfort level, bathroom breaks with waste disposal, and plenty of positive reinforcement along the way.
After the walk, I provide fresh water, wipe paws if needed, and make sure your dog is comfortable and settled before I leave.

Dog/Cat Drop-Ins
Whether you’re at work, running errands, away from home, or simply could use a helping hand, drop-in visits allow your dog or cat to stay comfortable in their familiar home environment while receiving personalized care.
Visits may include feeding, fresh water, bathroom breaks, exercise, playtime, mental enrichment, litter box maintenance, brushing, and basic medication support if needed. Dog walks can also be included as part of a drop-in visit.

2 hours- $70
Longer visits are great for puppies, senior pets, pets with special care needs, or any pet who benefits from extra time for exercise, enrichment, companionship, or routine care.

Services are scheduled within one of the four arrival windows based on my availability. You’ll choose which window works best for you, and I may arrive at any time within that window. Your visit will always be the full length of the service you booked.
If you need an exact arrival time, please let me know when requesting care.

For all new clients, we’ll start with a 20-30 minute meet-and-greet to get acquainted and talk through your pet’s routine, individual needs, and care instructions. The $20 fee is credited toward your first service when you decide to book!
